JAY LENO
Leno is best known for his late night television ratings domination for more than two decades hosting "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." After taking over for Johnny Carson in May 1992, Leno racked up numerous awards including an Emmy for "Outstanding Comedy, Variety or Music Series" as well as TV Guide Awards' "Favorite Late Night Show" that was determined by voting viewers. Today, Leno produces and stars in his newest entertainment success, "Jay Leno's Garage," which airs on CNBC. He's earned an Emmy Award and two additional nominations for Outstanding Special Class-Short-Format Nonfiction Programs. His passion for cars has also fueled him to set several land speed records and to become the first person to drive the pace car of all major NASCAR events.
Leno loves a live audience, and he's brought more than 100 comedy performances a year in nightclubs, theaters and stadiums, including during his long Tonight Show hosting. In addition to performing in Las Vegas and on college campuses, Leno is a well-known international traveler as well, entertaining for troops in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Italy to name a few.
