Richard Marx brings a night of hits to Hard Rock May 14
TULSA, Okla. (Feb. 17, 2026) — A Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer, Richard Marx is bringing his chart-topping hits and creative reinvention to Hard Rock Live inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Thursday, May 14, at 8 p.m.
Richard Marx has sold more than 45 million albums worldwide, earned more than 1 billion streams and achieved 14 No. 1 singles. Marx is the only male artist whose first seven singles reached the Top 5 on the Billboard charts and one of only two artists, alongside Michael Jackson, to write a No. 1 song in four different decades.
As a performer, Marx is known for enduring hits such as “Right Here Waiting,” “Hazard,” “Hold On to the Nights” and “Satisfied.” His influence extends behind the scenes as well, with songwriting and production credits for artists including Luther Vandross, Keith Urban, NSYNC, Barbra Streisand and Kenny Rogers. His work on Vandross’ “Dance With My Father” earned a Grammy Award.
In addition to his music career, Marx is a bestselling author. His memoir, “Stories to Tell,” was released in 2020. He followed it with “Songwriter” in 2023, a critically acclaimed album featuring collaborations with both established artists and emerging talent. In 2024, Marx headlined a sold-out performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall and continues to tour internationally.
Marx is set to release a new album in 2026 titled “After Hours,” which marks a stylistic departure from his previous work. The album features a mix of Great American Songbook standards and original songs written in a retro style. It was recorded live with 24 musicians, capturing complete takes for each track.
Marx performed the album’s lead single, “Magic Hour,” on the 2025 season finale of “Dancing With the Stars Australia.” He also joined Hugh Jackman onstage to perform “Big Band Boogie” during select shows of Jackman’s sold-out Radio City Music Hall residency. In addition, Marx serves as a coach on “The Voice Australia,” alongside Melanie C, Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke.
Tickets start at $29.50 and go on sale Feb. 20.
