“Yacht Rock the Dock” Brings Legendary Artists and Timeless Hits to Hard Rock Tulsa June 7
TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 21, 2025) — Celebrating the smooth rock era from the 1970s and 1980s that defined a generation, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa will welcome “Yacht Rock the Dock” featuring Ambrosia, Al Stewart, John Ford Coley, Peter Beckett (the voice of Player), and Elliot Lurie to the Hard Rock Live stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.
Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale Friday, Feb. 7.

The show features an all-star lineup of original artists, starting with Ambrosia, known for their Grammy-nominated hits like “How Much I Feel” and “Biggest Part of Me.” The band, formed in the South Bay of Los Angeles in 1970, is beloved by fans for its unique blend of progressive, classical and soulful influences and maintains its historical influence on soft rock with collaborations with artists such as Leonard Bernstein and Fleetwood Mac.
Al Stewart came to stardom as part of the legendary British folk revival in the sixties and seventies and developed the combination of folk-rock songs with delicately woven tales of the great characters and events from history. Stewart has 19 studio albums between “Bedsitter Images” in 1967 and “Sparks of Ancient Light” in 2008, plus the live album “Uncorked” with Dave Nachmanoff in 2009.
John Ford Coley, half of the Grammy-nominated duo England Dan and John Ford Coley, will also perform. Coley created timeless hits such as “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “Love Is the Answer” and “We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again.”
Peter Beckett, best known as “The Voice of Player,” was the lead singer and songwriter behind the 1978 international No. 1 hit “Baby Come Back.” Player continued its success with hits like “This Time I’m in It for Love,” solidifying its place in rock history. Beckett’s captivating voice and memorable songs continue to resonate with fans worldwide.
Walter Egan rose to fame with his 1978 gold-certified hit “Magnet and Steel,” which reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. Co-produced with Lindsey Buckingham, the song has become an enduring classic, showcasing Egan’s talent as both a songwriter and performer.
Elliot Lurie, the voice and guitarist behind Looking Glass, achieved fame with the 1972 No. 1 hit “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl).” The song remains a beloved classic, featured in films like “Guardians of the Galaxy” and covered by artists such as Kenny Chesney.
