NEAL MCCOY

NEAL MCCOY
Multi-platinum Country Star Neal McCoy to Bring Texas Twang to Hard Rock Live on March 1

Two-time “Entertainer of the Year” to Bring Honky Tonk Hits to Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 15, 2024) — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa will welcome the iconic country star Neal McCoy at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at Hard Rock Live inside the casino.

Tickets start at $19.50 and go on sale on Oct. 18.

With a career spanning nearly four decades, Neal McCoy has made a name for himself as one of America’s country music greats, though he grew up singing in local gospel choirs and listening to a variety of styles outside of country music including swing, rock, disco and R&B. Debuting in 1990, McCoy quickly became known for his energetic and engaging live performances, steadily accruing a loyal fanbase that surged with his breakthrough album “No Doubt About It” in 1994. The platinum album produced two No. 1 country hits, the self-titled track and “Wink.”

Hot off of his recent success, McCoy released his fourth studio album “You Gotta Love That” in 1995, his second to receive platinum certification. McCoy’s impressive discography includes 15 career albums – three platinum and one gold – 25 charted singles, five No. 1 singles, five Top 10 hits and has sold over six million records. He was named Entertainer of the Year twice, earned TNN/Music City News Country Awards’ Video of the Year for “Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye” and CMT’s Top 10 Video of the Year for “The Shake.” In 2009, McCoy was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame.

McCoy’s authenticity comes through in his original music – particularly in hits like “The Shake,” “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On” and “For a Change” – as well as his covers, always showing respect to his roots and those who paved the way before him. As a tribute to his mentor and friend Charley Pride, McCoy released Pride in 2013 and just three years later, McCoy delved into the Great American Songbook, releasing “You Don’t Know Me.” Produced by Steve Tyrell, this album showcased McCoy’s Texas take on popular songs like “Unforgettable” and “It Had to Be You.”

While his passion for music runs deep, his humanitarian efforts have always been a throughline. Together with his wife, Melinda, the pair founded the East Texas Angel Network (ETAN) in 1995 to provide financial assistance to families with children suffering from serious illnesses. The organization has raised more than eight million dollars since its inception. A supporter of our troops, McCoy has also performed 17 USO tours around the world since 2001.

In addition to his credits as a musician, McCoy has been honored to receive numerous humanitarian awards, including the 2005 ACM/Home Depot Humanitarian Award, the 2006 Country Radio Broadcasters Humanitarian of the Year Award and the Masonic Grand Lodge’s W. B. and Brandon Carrell Humanitarian Award in 2007.

The show will include an evening filled with McCoy’s toe-tapping instrumentation, honky tonk twang and tongue-in-cheek, relatable lyrics, taking fans on a journey back to ‘90s country gold.
