Classic country star John Conlee takes on Tulsa with “Rose Colored Glasses” Oct. 16
TULSA, Okla. (July 8, 2025) — A pillar of traditional country music that has long resonated with fans through his heartfelt storytelling and unmistakable voice, the one and only John Conlee is making his return to Hard Rock Live inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m.
With a career spanning more than four decades, John Conlee has consistently connected with audiences by staying true to himself and to the themes that define everyday American life: family, hard work and perseverance.
Born and raised in Kentucky farm country, Conlee's roots run deep. His rural upbringing inspired both the relatable tone of his music and his enduring advocacy for family farmers. Since 1985, he has lent his voice and presence to the Farm Aid movement, performing in nine concerts and helping to raise more than $13 million to support struggling agricultural families.
Conlee first emerged on the country scene in the late 1970s after years working in radio. His breakthrough came in 1978 with “Rose Colored Glasses,” a self-penned hit that became his signature song. That success was quickly followed by “Back Side of Thirty,” which reached No. 1 when re-released the following year. Over the years, he delivered a remarkable string of hits including “Lady Lay Down,” “Friday Night Blues,” “Common Man,” “I’m Only in It for the Love” and “Domestic Life,” among many others.
In total, Conlee has released 29 singles, 26 of which reached the top 20 on the national country charts — including eight No. 1 hits. His enduring appeal lies in his authentic approach to music and life. He’s remained loyal to the same management and production team throughout his career, an uncommon feat in the ever-changing music industry.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1981, Conlee continues to bring his timeless sound to audiences nationwide, combining musical excellence with a deep sense of integrity and purpose.
Tickets start at $19.50 and go on sale July 11.
