Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters brings Signature ’60s-Inspired Sound to Hard Rock Live July 18

TULSA, Okla. (March 24, 2026) — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa will welcome critically acclaimed actor and musician Billy Bob Thornton and his world-renowned band The Boxmasters at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Hard Rock Live inside the casino.

Led by actor and musician Billy Bob Thornton and longtime collaborator J.D. Andrew, The Boxmasters are known for their signature blend of rock and roll with vintage pop influences. Since forming in 2006, the band has built a diverse catalog of music rooted in the sounds of the 1960s, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Beatles, The Byrds and The Beach Boys, as well as The Mothers of Invention, The Allman Brothers, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Big Star.

“Pepper Tree Hill,” released last July, marks the band’s 19th release and showcases the duo’s continued love for the British Invasion-era sound that defines much of their work. Named after the band’s recording studio, the album pays homage to the creative environment where Thornton and Andrew craft their music.

The album’s title track features legendary trumpeter and bandleader Herb Alpert, who contributed a distinctive horn arrangement to the song. Longtime collaborator and Boxmasters alum Brad Davis also joined the band on the track with a guest guitar performance.

Across the album, listeners can hear the band’s trademark jangly guitars, Mellotron textures and driving rhythms, paired with songs that explore themes of nostalgia, hope and creativity.

Known for their energetic live performances, The Boxmasters have cultivated a devoted fan base throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom. The band has toured with artists including ZZ Top, Steve Miller and George Thorogood, while also building strong followings as headliners at venues across the country.

Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale March 27.
