The Oak Ridge Boys
The Oak Ridge Boys have released 31 studio albums since 1973, including 11 that have peaked in the Top 10 of the Billboard country music charts. The band has released 63 singles, with 17 hitting No. 1 and an additional 15 that reached the Top 10.
The bands numerous hits include “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” “Dream On,” “Thank God for Kids,” “American Made,” “Fancy Free” and “I Guess It Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes,” just to list a few. The hit “Elvira” earned the band several awards, including the 1982 Grammy for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and the 1981 American Country Music and Country Music Association Single of the Year awards.
Throughout their career, The Oak Ridge Boys have performed with legendary fellow artists, including Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Bill Monroe, George Jones and Shooter Jennings. With more than 41 million records sold, the Oak Ridge Boys have proven they are a force to be reckoned with. The band continues to tour across the U.S. and perform at its own venue in Branson, Missouri, when not on the road.
